Summer of 2005 - UPDATE
I havent updated this in so long, so heres to the worst summer ever, thank heavens its almost over... My Grandpa passed away after taking a fall in the apartment. Due to poor health, the shock to his system from the fall and the fact that he could no longer smoke or drink, he sadly slipped away. Honestly had he pulled out of it, his quality of life would not of been great...Grandpa would not have wanted to live like that...this I know. After a month long battle with what was believed to be auto-immune hemolytic anemia or a bone marrow disorder, my sweet yellow fuzzy Gully Girl passed away. This is a loss I have never experienced before and never wish to again. The moment when she looked at me and slipped away is a burnt image in my mind that will never fade. I know my sweet Gully Girl is happy, at rest and playing on the Rainbow Bridge...waiting to be joined with us again...I will always love you Bug and think about you all the time. A highlight to the summer...my sister was able to visit for a week for Grandpa's funeral, and got to celebrate Hayley's 2nd birthday with us. It was a blast, at Chucky Cheese! We had lots of fun. A few weeks ago, Grandma fell in the apartment. She has not dealt with Grandpa's death very well and took to the bottle a bit too much we think. She has slipped healthwise during the past few years, but seems to be doing a bit better. She is still in the hospital and will be going to a nursing home afterwards. It is a blessing for us, because now at least she will be safe. In the apartment, she refused help, so now at least she will have someone there when she needs it. The doctor has found a cancerous lump in her breast and she will be having it removed next Friday. I hope this is a single time occurance, she is 80 and I hope her last years are not spent fighting cancer. Today we brought Hayley to a petting zoo and playground that was indoors, it rained all day. Our original plan was to go to Greenview Aviaries, but because of the rain we changed plans so we wouldnt be walking in the rain and mud all day long. She liked it there, and got to go on rides for the first time. A rainy, gloomy day...fits my mood. Other stuff going on, to complicated to mention... Hope all if you had a better summer than mine. MmMMMmmMMMmmm...Pear Cider! | Your Sagittarius Drinking Style |
In vino veritas -- and, for you, in booze blurtiness. When battered, you'll spill all your friends' secrets and many of your own. Tactlessness aside, you are just plain fun to drink with.
You are under the sign of serious partying (what else would you expect from the sign of Sinatra, Keith Richards, the Bush twins and Anna Nicole Smith)? You're the person who chat up everyone in the room, then persuades the entire crowd to travel somewhere else -- like a nightclub, or a playground, or Cancun. Good-natured hijinks are sure to ensue (including a high possibility of loopy groping; a spontaneous Sag like you is a brilliant booty call). | | Your Signature Cocktails | | A travel-loving sign, Sagittarius might be intrigued by drinks like Moscow mules, Singapore slings -- perhaps even a Long Island iced tea (not a bad option, given how much you can put away and still stay vertical). Party monster that you are, you're attracted to shots, like the ever-popular lemon drop. You rules pears, and you could use a nice pear cider right about now, come to think of it. | | Your Celebrity Drinking Buddies | | Britney Spears, The Bush twins, Margaret Cho, Lucy Liu, Brad Pitt, Anna Nicole Smith, Jay-Z, and Jake Gyllenhaal. | | | Friday, July 1st, 2005 | | 10:08 pm |

Old Hand You've seen 75% of the internet, and shed 53% of the tears... |
And you thought you'd seen it all!
You've been around this old internet of ours a number of times. You've seen some pretty sick stuff, and maybe you even liked some of it, but you've managed to find all the good bits and pieces. Congratulations! I bet your friends always want to know what cool stuff you're getting upto this week, and what funny new website you've found.
Are you shocked at the stuff you've missed? Have I given you enough of an inkling? I know you think the rest is garbage, but you're a little bit curious, aren't you? That Digital Underbelly... sinister... brooding... tempting... and oh, so wrong.
Don't do it! Fight against it! You'll soon lose all those friends if you get into it.

You're a little gold key, and you unlock other people's hearts. Your kindness and willingness to be there for those you care about lets people open up to you knowing they will be accepted. People will rely on you, but be careful not to give more than you have. What sort of key are you and what do you unlock? brought to you by Quizilla | | Friday, April 22nd, 2005 | | 8:44 pm |

STUFF...
Some I haven't written in awhile, so heres a quickie update: Hayley is finally getting surgery for her ears on Tues, they are putting in tubes. Thankfully its a quick procedure and we will only need to keep her at the hospital for a few hours. They will be cutting a small hole into her eardrums, draining the fluid and then inserting ventilation tubes. The tubes usually pop out on their own after about a year. Hopefully this will lessen the ear infections and improve her hearing. We got the kiddo a swing set and sandbox. Now just have to get some pebble stone and sand to get our backyard transformed into a kiddie wonderland. She loves playing outside and absolutely LOVES her new swing, teeter-totter and slide. Everytime she looks out the window at it she shouts "WHEE!" Heard some sick news today of something dreadful that happened here in Windsor. We got some real sickos on the west-end here. Apparently a young couple was charged after they skinned, cooked, and ate their neighbours cat while they were house sitting for them. There reason "we were hungry"...fucking idiots never heard of a foodbank??? I swear, if they are eating a pet cat, or any cat for that matter, what else are they doing that people aren't noticing??? These psychos should be skinned alive then shot. What the hell goes through the minds of people like that? This was in today's Windsor Star and many radio stations were talking about it on the morning news. Current Mood: confused | | Friday, March 25th, 2005 | | 6:23 pm |
ESCAPING WINDSOR
Well, we finally managed to escape Windsor for a bit, even if its only for 2 days and 1 night. After a quick stop at Tim Hortons, we took Hayley to the Children's Museum for a few hours where she climbed through caves, tunnels, an igloo and even an ear! We got a really good piccie of her in a space capsule messing with the controls. She loved it! After that we checked in at the hotel and had dinner, which was more than a little bit nasty, but ah well, no biggie. Then we went swimming and spent some time relaxing in the whirlpool before getting Hayley settled for the night. She's never slept at a hotel before, so getting her to bed was a bit tricky. Needless to say, shes not in the playpen, but rather the bed . o O (go figure). After fooling around with the laptop, trying to tap into the hotel's wireless network and attempting connecting with a back-up dial up, I simply went to the front desk where they gave me a password right away and in moments we were online . o O (go figure). Anyways...I'm beat...off to bed. Tomorrow we are up early and heading to Storybook Gardens before heading back to Windsor, depending on the time we get back we might go to a co-worker's house for an easter egg hunt. Hope you all have a good holiday week-end :) Current Mood: relaxed | | Sunday, February 27th, 2005 | | 12:33 pm |

I WANT TO GO TO DISNEY! - WHO WANTS TO COME WITH ME? Space Mountain: A thrilling rocket ride through the darkness of outer space! Futuristic and forward thinking, you have just enough 2001-esk elements without escaping Walt Disney's utopian vision for a brighter tomorrow. You represent speed, stealthness, and the promise of technology, while your Dick Dale surf guitar riff of a soundtrack makes you retro and mysterious, without being corny. Keep the lights low and avoid revealing too much, lest you ruin the show, you're only going 28 mph! Regardless of speed, you prove that in the vacuum in space, you CAN hear people scream! I DON'T HAVE THIS RING-TONE *POUT*
LONDON - Despite complaints from 60 people, Britain's advertising regulators said Wednesday there is nothing inappropriate about the genitals of an animated frog whose high-pitched squeals are sold as a mobile phone ringtone. Television commercial of the motorcycle-riding Crazy Frog, who is drawn with a broad smile and a tiny penis, run frequently on British television, amusing, baffling and annoying viewers. | | 8:37 pm |

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!
SOME FUNNY FOR YOU... A young man wanted to purchase a gift for his new sweetie for Valentine's Day. As they had not been dating very long, it was very difficult decision. After careful consideration he decided a good gift would be a pair of gloves. Accompanied by his sister, he went to the store and bought the gloves. His sister purchased a pair of panties at the same time. The clerk carefully wrapped both items but in the process got them mixed up. The sister was handed the gloves and the young man got the panties. The young man mailed his Valentine's Day gift with the following note: "This special Valentines Day gift was chosen because I noticed you are in the habit of not wearing any when we go out in the evenings. If it had not been for my sister, I would have chosen the ones with buttons, but she prefers short ones that are much easier to remove. "These are a lovely shade, the lady I bought them from showed me the pair she had been wearing for the past three weeks and they were hardly soiled. I had her try yours on for me and they looked quite lovely. I wish I was there to put them on you for the first time; no doubt, other hands will come into contact with them before I have a chance to see you again. When you take them off, remember to blow on them lightly before putting them away as they will naturally be a little damp from wearing. Just think how many times I'll be kissing them in the future. I hope you'll wear them Friday night for me. Love, Cuddle Bear p.s. The sales lady says the latest style is to wear them folded down with just a little fur showing.
